How To Upload Your Personal
Web Page Using WS_FTP

Note:  Before you can upload a Web page, you must create it.  Web pages are files that are in "htm" or "html" formats.  If you are not familiar with creating "htm" or "html" files, we recommend obtaining a Web page editor.  You can obtain an editor from TUCOWS.  You may also wish to visit Internet Texoma's Web Site Information Page for tech tips and links to useful information on creating a Web site.

1.  Create your "htm" and/or "html" files.  Note: Your "Home Page" must be named one of the following:  "welcome.htm", "welcome.html", "index.htm" or "index.html".

2.  Connect to Internet Texoma as you normally do.

3.  Start WS_FTP.

4.  A "Sessions Properties" window will appear.

10.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "User ID:" entry box (the white area to the right of the words "User ID:") and single-click with the left mouse button.  Type your user name. Your user name is the first part of your e-mail address, i.e., username@texoma.net. Note: If this is a commercial Web site, you will enter "www.yourcompanyname" for a "User ID:".

11.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Check Box" to the left of "Anonymous" and click with the left mouse button until there is not a check. Refer to the image above for guidance if necessary.

12.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Password:" entry box (the white area to the right of the word "Password:") and single-click with the left mouse button.  Type your e-mail password. Refer to the image above for guidance if necessary.

27.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Exit" button (lower right corner) and single-click with the left mouse button. (WS_FTP will close.)
