MARC Communications Support Unit (CSU)
Through its fund raising, MARC has purchased and modified a travel trailer to replace the old CSU that was retired.

Collin County APRS Digipeater
MARC has established a wide-area APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System) digipeater (digital repeater) on 144.39 MHz located on the Melissa Municipal water tower.
Its callsign is W5MRC-15. Operating at 20 watts, it reliably covers Collin County and the southern half of Grayson County. The digipeater utilizes a GE commercial grade transceiver and a Kantronics KPC-3+ for complete 24/7 WIDEn-n operation complimentary to digipeaters in surrounding counties. An Internet gateway located 2 miles from the digipeater provides all area users with 24/7 Internet connectivity.

Broadband Over Power Line (BPL)
To know more about BPL, research the ARRL's BPL web site. The ARRL also has a free downloadable video demonstrating the effects of BPL.  Click here for more info and to watch it.
